Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell worked for a time in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine practices and the landscape. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a youngster, living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned the Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. I was never able to study or accomplish enough. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. When she was in Italy, Chef Burrell gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her experiences in the food world, as she regularly is in the United States for both her roles as speaker and mentor. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to be in a position to share her passion for life with others.
