Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division of UFC. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 followed by an award of bronze in 2008 and then a gold in the year 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She took home the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA profession in the year 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with the unanimous verdict. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina was offered a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat, and won Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke submission. It was the top fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches she won over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
