Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American model and actress. Eva Mendes was discovered by a talent agent who recognized her talent. They convinced her she should pursue a job within the entertainment field. The university she attended dropped her after much thought to make a move into entertainment. Following a disappointment with her appearance when she entered the industry, she made her film debut in Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. To prove herself her worth, she appeared in several low-budget productions to develop her acting. It was not an straightforward path for the actor however, her determination and patience did not go unrewarded. The actress received fame and positive reviews for her performance in the film Training Day after which her acting career began to take off.
